Cakra Biogas Power Plant
Cakra Biogas Power Plant (Muai Village)
Operational since April 1, 2012, with a capacity of 4 x 1 megawatt.

Our biogas facilities play a vital role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing our commitment to sustainability. We own 2 methane captures for 3 of our mills.
By converting methane into biogas, we generate electricity that powers our mills, estates, housing, and local communities, all while aligning with our sustainability commitment.
In partnership with PLN and the Regent of Kutai Kartanegara, we have been distributing surplus electricity from our biogas plants to nearby communities since 2013. Starting at 3 megawatts, this supply is expanding to 8 megawatts, delivering dependable 24-hour electricity to three districts.
This initiative fosters improved livelihood standards, supports electrification in East Kalimantan, and empowers local communities.
